We know the history of the 300 years old union that was once established to be lasting "for ever", and we know that only after this union entered its path of imperial projects at the beginning of the 19th century, a sense of British identity began to grow in the Scottish people.
Now the referendum is over - and Scotland is still there; with its abundant cultural heritage, its poetry, its beautiful songs and tunes, its enchanting nature and landscape, and numerous other features viewed and felt by us as being treasures of Scottishness itself.
Scotland is still there - the country of which Winston Churchill once wrote: "Of all the small nations of this earth, perhaps only the ancient Greeks surpass the Scots in their contribution to mankind."
Scotland is still there - but apparently split and divided and still in quest for its road to a common future.
Let us follow this nation in its quest, with attention and devotion.
